A couple of resources I've used and trusted.

When I was a Career Counselor I had 4 assessments that were my favorite go-to all-time trusted resources. The MBTI, Strengths, Values, and Skills.

I know many prefer StrengthsFinder, but I prefer the VIA Signature Character Strengths that came out of the Positive Psychology movement in the late '90s. It's easier and there is also a signature strengths assessment for teenagers.

The personality type (MBTI) assessment I prefer is the Personalitywizard.com that Sterling Bates and associates developed. A novel approach in that it's more of a process of elimination than forced choice.

Both are free which is important for both you and your client.

I also highly recommend Linda Berens' Interactive Styles!

There are more ways, models and methods today to help people understand themselves and others better and I would love to hear from you. What assessments would you recommend that you're using successfully?

The websites are: https://www.viacharacter.org/ and www.personalitywizard.com.

Just a few to get started thinking about resources.
