• Guests Manager:  chat with new attendees at Programs
• Newsletter Manager:  manage online mailings using prepared content from flyers
• Database Manager:  keep member data current; publish member directory
• Registration Manager:  sign-in guests & new members before monthly Programs
• Company Outreach Manager:  invite local companies to make employees aware of BAAPT meetings
• Association Outreach Manager:  arrange reciprocal publicity with local associations
• Bookstore Manager:  add Type books to online bookstore; manage sale of books at Programs when a speaker has books to sell
• Programs Committee:  help plan upcoming schedule of program topics & speakers
• Secretary:  maintain records of Board meetings & prepare annual report for APTi
• Operations Co-Director:  ensure refreshments, room & A/V setup as needed for each BAAPT event
• Membership Co-Director:  welcome guests & manage membership drive & directory
• Marketing Co-Director:  increase awareness of BAAPT among bay area Type enthusiasts

BAAPT Board of Directors

Directors serve two-year terms, with half of the Board rotating their positions in even years, and half in odd-numbered years.  We're also striving for co-directors in each Board position to ensure full coverage of Board responsibilities at all times, training of successors, and more fun for all!  Travel (mileage, parking, public transportation) to and from BAAPT activities is tax-deductible for volunteers.  Board Members meet monthly for an hour by phone; all BAAPT volunteers are invited to our annual new year kickoff off-site planning meeting in January.  If you're interested in volunteering in any role with BAAPT, please talk to Wendy Horikoshi.

Members of BAAPT come from Art Institute, CPP, CSU, Esurance, Genentech, Google, Hitachi, Kaiser Permanente, Lockheed Martin, PG&E, SFSU, Stanford Hospital, St Mary's College, UC Berkeley Extension, US Coast Guard, West Valley College, Yahoo!, and many other organizations.
