Kailin is one of our newer members, and a wonderful addition to our chapter. Here she offers us the chance to get to know her a little better…
As a person with INFJ preferences, I love learning new knowledge and being inspired by provoking thoughts, especially those that help me understand more about people. I joined BAAPT in 2012 and found it a very enriching experience. Although I prefer self-learning in a more private form as an introvert, I love being able to talk about types with so many experts in one room. It feels like being part of an interest club in which we share a special hobby and language.

I use type in both personal and professional lives. I am drawn to Jung’s theories that have a focus on self-development across the lifespan, which I apply almost on a daily basis.
I live in the South Bay. I have worked in the hi-tech industry for 15 years across various job functions – software engineering, technical marketing, sales management, business development, etc. It was a self-discovery journey that I finally transitioned my career to the coaching/consulting field 5 years ago with the realization that working with people and helping people grow is my true passion.
I’m currently doing a research on the topic of work motivation for my doctoral degree in Organizational Psychology. I like arts and music, I play cello, I like drawing and dancing. But above all, I live with books – a typical INFJ who enjoys a serene life with reading, writing, and nonstop contemplating.
